Twin Cities Housing Market Update

According to the Center for Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas and Fox 9, last month set a record low for real estate – there were 10,131 homes on the market in January 2016, meaning we are in a seller’s market. Homes are being snapped up as soon as they come on the market and in some cases, before they even hit the market. More good news for sellers – the median price for homes in the Twin Cities in January 2016 was $215,000, up 10% from a year earlier, oftentimes there are multiple offers and the best news- buyers are offering full price or more.
If you’re a home owner who has been wondering whether to sell or stay, now might be the time to make a move. The seller’s market applies to both the inner and outer ring suburbs, so contact our office for a free market analysis! Email or call us at 651-452-3047!
